Puget Sound is being flooded with tears of fears and joy for Britney's third child and the feds intervention of the American sub-prime loan market. When it rains it pours.
See I am going:

Happy Taiwanese Independence Day!
This is my massive update since June 2007. Get ready it's gonna be prolific, but no worries, mostly pictorial, I will keep words to a minimum.
Since becoming the first Chang grandchild to receive a master's degree in June (this was a close one, I thought my brother Rocky would beat or tie me, but hecky yeah, I edged him out --- slow and steady wins the race), I have been trying to live it up before reality sets in. Things are good, for real -- life is so good.

Class of 2007 : Yo that's right! We are so good at pushin' peh-pas
Here is a recap of my summer:

Skate Like a Girl 2007!
After flying home, I went straight to work running two weeks of skate camp with Fleur for our project Skate Like A GIrl. This was so great. We had it at the Kirkland Teen Union Building and had two groups of girls. One older and one younger crew. Jessie and Corrine came up from Portland and helped out. We had a great turn out. Some articles in the local papers, AND Jessie got so excited that we just recently helped her start a Skate Like a Gril in the PDX!

PDX Skate Trip
After camp Susannah came from Sweden and we went on a mad awesome skate tour with my ladies starting with going down to Portland with Fleur, Sanna, and Kristen. We met up with Jessie, and some amazing girl skaters in Portland.

Susannah and I came back to Seattle and picked up Camille and we went and kidnapped our friend Lanna (who was getting married) to go on a skate surf trip. We cruised through Pt. Townsend (the park is super fun), and caught a ferry in Pt. Angeles (we walked around and were told by the cops that there is not skateboarding, then we found one of the parks). We got to Victoria and skate W. Vic. It was amazing. It is like a whole street block. So manyskaters and stuff to skate. We then went on an epic drive to Tofino, where we encountered 9km of unpaved road. We stayed at the Botanical Garden, skated and surfed. We met these awesome ladies skating at the park there: the Majestic Unicorns. They had mad skills, road motorcycles and one broke their ankle when we were there.

Old Fire House Teen Center 15 year Anniversary!
The Old Fire House is where I have been working for the past 5 years creating teen programs. It is an all ages venue and a place where teens can find recreation and other resources to help support them through their teen years. This is a really special place where I used to go see shows as a teen and a place where I continue to make connections with the up and comming youth leaders, musicians, and artists.

Some of the rad kids I hang out with = Kevin, Alex, Brett, Leila, Taryn, Susannah
and me and Subi in the front

Reunion + Unions + Other stuff
My friend Jenny White whom I haven't seen for 5 years just emailed out of the blue. We caught up and got reconnected. She is a super talented musician and crafter living in Baltimore.
We used to play music together in high school. In college she came to help me hot glue gun rice cakes to a huge rebar sculpture of a cow I made. She also hooked it up for zine printing.
She made awesome mixed tapes and got me to listen more to Bikini Kill and Sleater-Kinney.
I wish it were 1997 again.

My friend Lanna got married! My first close friend. I feel no pressure. What's funny is at the wedding, when she threw the boquet, it hit the ground and nobody made a dive for it. The second time it hit Rachel in the face, she had no choice but to take it.

Lanna's proud mama, Lanna, and me.Hotel 1000 reception. So beautiful.
Skate Like a Girl PDX is born! Super excited about the Portland gals. They are such amazing skaters, and the skate community is happening. Department of Skateboarding (Kyle) = massively awesome and supporting girl skaters. Big ups!
The Seattle and Portland crew. Sistas foeva.
Started a new phase of my life called " I am a municipal worker." This is yet another art performance called "paying my billz witsum dolla dolla billz."

My cubi.
Life is beautiful.
