i am in the last year at the
evans school of public affairs at the
university of washington. its a place similar to the justice league. all the students here lounge around in super hero outfits, waiting to crush bad policy and to promote good public value.
its awesome.
my focus is in international development and non-profit management. when i am done with school i plan on working with organizations, communities and governments interested in empowering and educating youth through progressive and innovative programs.
in order to get checked off for working close to poverty wages, all students have to complete a degree project. my degree project will be restructuring an existing organization that empowers girls and women through skateboarding and transforming it into a full fledged non profit. its called:
skate like a girl.
if all goes as planned i will be graduating spring of 2 0 0 7, with a masters in public administration (this means i am qualified to work with people, especially the poor and disenfranchised ones).
